ANZAC Spirit Award
The BWMC funds an annual award to the Bungendore Public School (BPS) to the value of $400. This award is known as the ANZAC Spirit Award.
The Award is made to a selected Year 6 Student who during the past year at the BPS, has exhibited endurance, courage, ingenuity, good humour and mateship, which can collectively constitute what is defined as the ‘ANZAC Spiri
t’.
Year 6 BPS staff nominate students for the Award at a staff meeting. All staff have the opportunity to discuss each student’s attributes associated with the award, whence all Staff then vote for one of the nominated students. The Award is made at the BPS Annual Presentation Ceremony by a Member of the BWMC, preferably the President. The name of each year's recipient is recorded on the Honour Board, funded by the BWMC, which is displayed in the BPS front office.
This Award has been made possible by a bequest to the BWMC by the late Mr Geoffrey Collinson OAM.
